He's on his way!...Christmas preview...

Yes, the big man will soon be here, the dreaded C word is just around the corner and when you get back from your summer holidays it will be EVERYWHERE...

Christmas is here! Well, almost!...

You can get our latest 2017 Christmas Stamp releases on pre-order now for delivery end of July...

I have to say I LOVE this release, there isn't one stamp set I don't love...

You can see all NINE sets and order yours HERE, we won't have a ton of stock, so when these have gone, they're gone and won't be coming back this year...

We've purposely put these into smaller sets so they're really affordable AND collectable, but most of all, usable sizes that will make beautiful cards and Xmas projects. A lot of these stamps are completely usable all year round too!...

Regal Peacock Stamp Soup Samples and next Create & Craft TV dates

I'm back today with lots more of the gorgeous samples which were on last week's TV show...
and to also let you know to watch out for us again on
Create & Craft TV....
17th July at 2pm and 7pm
- and that means if you're in the USA or a different timezone you can watch us LIVE online at www.createandcraft.com!

So let's get to the stars of the show, the samples. If you've been a little busy, this is all about our gorgeous new Stamp Soup release, Regal Peacock...
http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/stamp-soup-regal-peacock-large-a5-stamp-set/
I just adore this colourful canvas board by Anjie McChesney - so bright and cheerful! Anjie use the Regal Peacock stamps together with our gorgeous Ula digi to create this fun piece perfect as a gift (although it would be on my wall LOL)....
Next we go to this beautiful make and this photo really does NOT do this justice, it's one of my favourites from the show...I think Claire Chapman (sorry if that's wrong) made this one and she's created this really magical feel to this peacock...the head is actually a fleur de lys stamp! Epic! But I love how she has everything really soft and floaty and the added glitter is devine although it's much more sparkly in real life...see if you can see it on the counter on the show video in my last post below...
Next a simple but stunning make - here Bev has stamped the bottom layer and embossed with gold to get all that stunning details, then just made the flower and cut the petals and layered in different colours...love how she put the ribbon BEHIND the flower, clever....

And then this one is a 3D one I made - everyone loved this technique when I did it with the previous Stamp Soup sets so if it works, do it again, LOL! I just simply stamped 3 flowers using the petal/butterfly stamp, and cut them out. So only 3 cuts! Then I just shaped the petals and glued them in the centre to make it look really 3D. Obviously you'd need to send this in a frame or box but I love making cards like this, they become a gift the recipient can put on a wall...

And finally for today - a flat card to show how you can just build up those layers and make it whatever you want it to be. I'm a little obsessed with daisy shapes so I kept it really simple, you could make this in 15 minutes...
If you love all these samples and want to see more of the Regal Peacock Stamp Soup set you can see it here in the Polkadoodles store...

Stamp Soup - Regal Peacock and a return to Create & Craft TV

Create & Craft TV with new products...
Did you see our latest Create & Craft TV show on Thursday?
It's been a while since we last hit your screens back in December 2016 for obvious reasons but it was lovely to be back on air and we had an almost sellout show.  We're going to be sharing some of the amazing samples from the show and the Design Team to help give you all some fabulous inspiration without having to put your TV on permanent pause to try and see the detail!

So first up we thought we'd better start you off right away with my demo card from the show as I know (and hope!) lots of you are going to be making this one!

So here are the products which were featured on the show this week:

And you can WATCH THE SHOW HERE

Our brand new Regal Peacock Soup stamp set proved a huge hit, which of course we knew it would because you all just love this unique concept.  Although we've called this Peacock, this absolutely is NOT all about Peacocks - as always there are 1000s (not 100s) of things you can create with this set including the usual miriad of flowers, butterflies, birds, trees, leaves etc...and Xmas too!

In addition we showcased the fabulous Toadstool die and the Elegant Flourish dies which are 2 of our favourites and perfect to co-ordinate with the stamps of course.

We also launched a brand new Collectors Copy of Ula - this special kit includes some additional thigns to the original release - you also have 35 beautiful designer papers, cutting masks for Ula, coloured background Ula stamps and 10 fabulous cutting stencil/masks which can be used with a Silhoutte or Scan N Cut machine to create your own stencils - and they are FAB!

So let's get to the inspiration!...
If you watched the video above you will see this is the very peacock I demo'd on the show - so now you can make it! PLEASE watch the clip as this is so SO easy but it gives you this phenomenal result! Anyone can do this, whether you are a beginner crafter or advanced...I'm always always about showing you how to make things the easy peasy way. I'm an intensely lazy crafter so nothing I do is ever difficult...it can sometimes be a little time consuming maybe, but never unachievable, simply because I have short attention span and lose interest too quickly...if you can't be bothered to watch the video (fair enough!) all you need to make this is the Regal Peacock stamps (above) and some watercolours or inks. Oh and the die but that's an optional extra as you saw!...
I made mine HUGE, but just make the tail smaller by adding less feathers if you want to make this into a more manageable card - it works great as an 8 x 8" size, if you go much smaller you might start to struggle but I'm sure you'll come up with your own interpretations and we have more coming up in the next few days!...
I also wanted to show you this amazing hanger made by Louise Sims. I just  love the colours on this - I always love everything she makes so make sure you go and check out her blog HERE.
We'll be back soon with lots more samples from the show!
